CGD’s NGO is dedicated to serving retired cows in their old age, extending its compassion not only to cows but also to bulls, buffaloes, and disabled animals. Through this initiative, we provide essential health treatments and nutritious food to ensure their well-being. In an effort to support this noble cause, our products are priced 2 Rupees higher. The additional proceeds are divided equally, with one part allocated to the care of retired animals, and the other towards tree plantation initiatives.
The support from our consumers, who choose our milk and milk products, contributes one rupee from each purchase to sustain our efforts. This financial assistance aids in covering expenses such as veterinary care, animal feed, and other necessities. From an initial count of 24 retired and disabled animals, our dedicated team has expanded our outreach to help 108 animals to date.
As we continue to grow, we plan to expand our team and outreach. Soon, we will release our contact details, encouraging more individuals to join us in the mission to assist retired and disabled cows, buffaloes, bulls, and others in need. Our specially designed dairy facility provides a secure environment for these animals, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.
Addressing life-threatening diseases like Anthrax in cattle requires timely medical intervention to provide a pain-free end. Chronic conditions such as bovine Johne’s disease demand constant monitoring, and we diligently oversee the health improvement of affected animals. Permanently disabled cattle receive routine check-ups, ensuring their ongoing well-being.
For minor illnesses, we provide prompt treatment, offering continuous care until the animals recover. Once their health stabilizes, those within a normal age range are integrated into our dairy operations, while the elderly find a comfortable home in our specially built old-age sanctuary. Every day, we remain committed to this cause, knowing that the additional two rupees contributed by our patrons can make a significant impact on the lives of these animals.
